Two kids received medical help after the Ukraine winter camp. FH donors paid for the surgeries after they went home. Valarie had eye surgery, and Veronica had leg surgery. The texts below are from Angelina, who runs all the programs on the ground in Ukraine.

Hello, my dear friends!
Today, we visited Valerie and Veronika at the hospital in the city of Cherkasy.
These two sweet girls were very happy to see us and are super grateful for all we are doing for them. Their guardian is a very nice and caring woman, and we visited their family as well.
Valerie’s surgery was very successful. In 3 days the stitches will be removed and she can go home..
She is so happy to see her beautiful eyes looking in the mirror!
Veronika is in the rehabilitation program after the fourth surgery on her leg, and she has to stay at the hospital for at least three months. Veronika is very sweet, active, social, talkative, and friendly by nature. But she lives alone in the hospital room, and of course, she feels very lonely there.
Veronika called and said that today she was the happiest child in the Universe!!
The guardian added, “Thanks for making our kids so happy!! You are incredibly wonderful, and we are very happy to meet you!!”

Veronika had to spend months in the hospital receiving skin grafts, so we brought her a tablet for school and fun. Here is the video of her receiving the tablet:
